Kash
Kash met us at the barn for feeding and clearly was not himself. He was bloated and hurting. We keep drugs here in the barn and quickly went to work.
He seemed much better after the pain meds. The vet came out. We tubed and oiled him. Time passed one hour after another and still no poop. Not good.
We had to let him go. Under the big shade tree which had just bloomed days ago.
It’s never an easy decision to make. Definitely the toughest part of this job. We have to do our very best to decide what is best for them. Sometimes that means helping them go. And the pain ends. Which is a beautiful thing.....
He was just shy of his 17th birthday. We saved him from an auction in 2014. He had some serious baggage no doubt. And his body had seen the miles. He loved and watched over his girls 24/7 - Ide, Baby, GiGi, and Birdie - and loved nothing more than protecting them.
Rest In Peace sweet Kash (JC Kasdagi)
We will miss you so....
